Hello! This seems like a very nice place to find info about older trailers/rv's/motor homes. Everyone seems so friendly in their posts. Mom , I & DH have just purchased a used Yellowstone trailer. It's permanently parked at a private campground. The previous owner kept it very neat, but there is some room for imporvement. Does the Yellowstone company still exist? Is there a way to get a manual? Where might I find a VIN? Just in general, are there standard cushion sizes for campers/trailers if I would like to replace the existing (most likely original) cushions that make up the seating/sleeping areas (2 "sofas" and a kitchen nook that turn into beds)? The campground has no hook-ups of any kind.(We are able to use the stove & fridge with the help of a propane tank) Are there any recommendations on battery operated or car cigarette lighter powered vacuum cleaners to help clean up carpets & cupboards? Is there a Yellowstone thread that I should check out?? Thanks!

Ukie Camper...
Welcome to iRV2!! You have all sorts of questions...and you have come to the right place to get some answers. ...it just may take a little time to get answers on every one of them...so please be patient as you watch for the answers.
I will be back later to try to help on one or two of them...but in the meantime...Congrats & welcome!

Ukie Camper, welcome to iRV2.com. We are glad to have you join us. Do you know the year and did they make more than one model? I am sure we have someone in the vintage section that can be of some help. Good luck and let us know how well you do on your list of improvments.

MM & Mike - thanks for the warm welcome. I was able to find a link to a foam place yesterday evening in another thread on the forum. Everyone is so willing to share their knowledge and experiences, so I am sure I will be able to find answers once I find the correct discussion :-) I did not even realize there could be a VIN on the trailer somewhere, so when I drop off DD to camp w/my Mom at a pre-school camp being run at the private campground, I am going to look in every nook and cranny while I am cleaning that trailer to find the VIN and any other make/model/year info. I picked up a Shark brand carpet sweeper thing at Bed, Bath & Beyond. It runs for 30 min on a Nickel-Cadmium battery and is rechargeable, so I can "vacuum" 30 minutes at a time I guess - lol. Happy Trails,
Ukie Camper

The VIN should also be on the front outside area of the trailer, usually the left front or tongue of trailer.
