Newbie with disabilities & 5th Wheel looking into Motorhome
Hi!
I was reading a post on RVTALK about the best 6 diesel motorhomes for the money. Someone posted in the bottom to visit this site, as it would contain more helpful information from people that own the motorhomes & responses to their real live issues and how the manufacturer responds in and out of warranty, not just how they are made, so that is why I joined.
I'm a firm believer in research!

Look at Winnebago. They build some homes with ramps and lifts for those that need physical assistance.

If you don't mind, can you be more specific about your disabilities? My wife is wheelchair bound after using crutches for many years. We've had a lot of experience with two TT and now a 2002 gas motorhome that the PO had fitted with a commercial grade, Braun under vehicle lift (UVL) in place of the automatic steps below the entry door.
If you prefer, you can send me a private message and we can communicate off line.

Thank you all for the replies and for making me feel welcome! I started out camping in a tent in my youth. Then I purchased a small Shasta camper, (then had to purchase a truck to pull it)! It had a hand pump for water, an only electric fridge, no a/c, no bathroom and no heater. Basically a one roomer with water, stove and all electric fridge! It had a tent room on the front side which dramatically increased my camper size, however was a bear to put up! I moved up to a Tracker 5th wheel. I loved that little camper, it felt so big, it had 1 slide which was the dinette that slide out. I stayed in it in TX one year and froze my tush off! I moved up to a 2011 CrossRoads Cruiser 30SK. I love the camper, hate the steps (now due to disability) and the 50 amp electric cord!! This is what I have today.
