Welcome to the forum and the MH world. I to started with little or no knowledge, now I feel I can tackle almost anything. As stated driveway camp for a night or 2. Keep a note pad of things you need to go get and learn how everything works. We either took from and house items and bought new for the house or pick what we needed from Walmart or the Goodwill. Be sure to take plenty of pictures as you build your family memories.
