Newbies to iRV2 Community

Hello to Everyone. We are Carriage 5th Wheel owners of about 2 years. We have a 2002 Carriage LS364. We lvoe the RV lifestyle so far. This is our 2nd winter in South Texas (Rockport). We are looking forward to a warmer winter than last. Hopefully all you Texas residents have saved some heat from the summer for use in January and February. We came across this site while looking for some guidance on a couple of problems. We have an awning tension problem and a generator starting problem. We are looking for guidance on fixing both of these. Issue #1 - The Awning - It was extended but would not retract automatically. We had to manually roll it up. I suspect that the tension spring broke or came loose. It is a Carefree of Colorado awning and we need a repair manual or an idea of where to get started on the repair. Issue #2 is the Onan Generator. It will not start. The starter will not engage. It sounds like the solenoid is not engaging the starter. Again we need some ideas. Thanks to anyone who can help.

Welcome to iRV2. Sorry to hear about the problems.

You can go on line and find manuals on the awning and the generator. It would help to know the model numbers on the awning and the generator.

trm1623;

Welcome to iRV2. We are glad you found us. I am sorry about the problems you are having. This site has a wealth of information and help just by asking. Browse the forums that are likely to be able to help. One forum I would suggest as a start is 5th Wheel Discussion. If you can't get some answers there I bet you will be pointed in the right direction.

Happy Holidays;

Don
