Newbies to RV Life and jumped right into Full Timers

Hi y'all! My husband and I sold the house in AZ in June and joined the wonderful (although, right now, somewhat challenging) life of full time RVers. We are also blessed to have our 11 yr old lab/hound joining us on this adventure. We purchased a new 2015 Fleetwood Excursion in June and set out to visit family before settling down in TX for the winter.

Since our decision to become RVers was made somewhat quickly (less than 2 months of serious discussion) and the house sold in less than 10 days, we have been learning as we go. Not our normal way of doing things (I am one who likes to research all options in depth) but we are fairing okay. Some health scares made us realize we want to fulfill our bucket list before it is too late. It is forums like this and YouTube videos that have helped us along the way.

We are looking forward to learning as much as we can as quickly as we can. We value the "been there, done that" knowledge all of you possess and are willing to share.

Your new friends ( although we have not met yet),
Tonya, Glenn & Duke (the dog)

Congrats folks, we spent three years selling all our belongings only to find we could not sell our house. Our son decided he would like to rent our house, rather than live in a apartment so that has worked out well. That said, we have loved full timing since 2011. Enjoy your travels.

Hi!

Dear Tonya and Glenn: I admire your courage! My wife and I recently retired and bought a RV. We too had been considering buying a Class A and going full time, selling our house in Tucson, etc. I don't think I'm ready to give up the security of a home base, though...so we decided to settle for a smaller Class C and maybe next year selling the house in Tucson and moving to our favorite town, Tombstone! We'll just see how it goes...Good luck and welcome!
