Newby to forum
Hello, I'm code name "Turkey" and new to the forum. Glad to be a member.
I'm traveling with a Tiffin Allegra Open Road 32 ft V-10 flat towing a 2 door Jeep Wrangler.
Trip planned to Cortez CO but then plan to go to Cheyenne. Is there an RV friendly route around Denver or do I have to go right up I-25? Thanks

Nice to have you here with us.
As with any large city. Timing is everything. Avoid the commuter hours and there is usually no problems. Cheyenne is a cool city. We've been there several times. Twice for "Frontier Days."
Let us know how we can help you.

At the far south end of Denver, between Denver and Castle Rock, you'll see an exit for E470. Quickest route around Denver, however, it's a toll road.
That's really the only route around the area that has the least amount of traffic.
Also, if you do take E470, take the Brighton exit as that will drop you on highway 85 north. It's mainly 2 lane after you get out of Denver but it will take you straight north into Cheyenne. Takes a bit longer, but I-25 north out of Denver has a ton of construction so it will probably be less time. Of course depending on time of day.

Thanks stinger608. That is very helpful information. I may decide to take a west side trip off 85 using US34 over to Estus Park. Do you know how 34 would be with a M/H towing a Jeep Wrangler? I really appreciate your input. Turkey

If I remember correctly, US34 is pretty winding and fairly steep on the way up to Estes Park, but I'm sure many class A's have taken that route.
I know it's well maintained, so you should be okay.
