Newcomer from Rhode Island
This is my first stop for knowledge and insight into a lifestyle with which I have no experience. I have made the committed decision to sell off most of my possessions and go full time in about 2 months. I have a lot to learn in a short time. My journey also includes trading in my 2013 Jeep Rubicon Unlimited for something more substantial in the towing realm...I'm thinking diesel perhaps more out of want than need! I have looked at several travel trailers at a local dealership and am putting a cap at 30' and gently used. I'm only in my late 30s so I have to keep my day job for quite some time which will limit my traveling. I will mostly be boondocking on my close friends' homestead but not sure how that will play out with my limited (read: absolutely none!) experience. It should be interesting!

Glad to have you here in the forum with us.
Biggest problems you may have are electricity, water and place to dump your tanks. Make sure your friend has these available.
Happy Trails!!!

These are certainly concerns for me in addition to frozen lines in the New England winter...details I will have to find solutions to relatively soon. I may have to stop at the campground now and then for emptying tanks and water supply. My friends are on well water only so I'm not sure how that works on the supply side. I'm hoping that between solar and a generator I can solve my electricity needs which I intend on keeping to a minimum. The homestead is on a timeline to eventually go off-grid so I'd like to do the same if at all possible. One step at a time!
