Newer Member & Just bought a Class A
Hello all, We joined the forum a few weeks back but never did an introduction so here it is. We are both retired, my wife Suzy was a Pharmacist and I am a Navy Vet (aircrew) & retired from Law Enforcement and later from a commercial printing business. A few weeks ago we bought a 2007 Monaco Monarch with only 5,600 miles and always garaged. We think we got a fantastic deal, you could actually take this unit back to 2007 and put it in a showroom, it still smells new inside...amazing. I did extensive research, turning down a 2002 Monaco due to the trailing arms and found this unit one day after it went on Craigslist. You have to walk carefully when doing a purchase, especially on Craigslist but all was done by the numbers and all went well. The week after we bought it my wife fell and broke two bones in her lower leg, now in a cast and our first motorhome trip has been delayed until sometime in May. This gives me a couple of months to figure everything out before our first trip (silver lining......?) See ya, Gary & Suzy (& Fonzi and Chachi the resident hairlogs......)

Welcome, what a bummer, new coach, retired, free time = broken leg. That's the kind of luck I have. Top that off with a carrier of standing behind a counter all day, learning to sit and take care of ones self cane be a real drag. Bright side Susy (if there is one) Gary will have systems figured out. Of course this may actually take longer than your leg needs to heal (speaking from own experance) so give him some incouragment along the way. Oh yes I too spent 31 years behind the counter!

Thanks all for the welcome. We are planning to get on the road in May for a short shakedown cruise, probably going up the coast of Northern California and Oregon. We have future plans for Canada, Alaska, the Civil War battlefields & across the US of A. Our two "hair-robots" Fonzi (the-Schnauzer) and Chachi (the-terrier-mix-rescue-dog) will be along for the ride. Life is beter than just good....Gary & Suzy Bennett

Sorry to hear about DW issue but make the most out the additional time you have before venturing off into the world or RVing. This forum is a wealth of knowledge. There a so many knowledgable peope here, I am not one of them, that are more than willing to answer just about any question you might have. Ask away and read a lot.
