We're so new we dont pick up our 99 Newmar Dutch Star 3862 for two days. We will need lots of help from y'all experienced rv'rs. It has 43000 miles and a cummins 300. Once we're back home it will sit for a month or so while we try to learn its needs. Advice is gratefully received.

Good Morning and welcome to iRV2!! Congratulations on your "new to you" Newmar! What a great way to start out the New Year...with a new rig and new membership on iRV2.
May I also suggest you take a look at the Newmar Forum and ask for some "karma" while you are there. You will find everyone on this forum to be willing to help most anyway they can.

Again...congrats & Welcome to iRV2...we hope you visit & post often!

MM

Miguel and miss scarlett, welcome to irv2.com. We are glad to have you join us here and we look forward to help any way we can. What part of the country are you living in? If you have freezing weather you will ant to have the coach winterized. Congratulations on the Dutch Star. I am sure you will enjoy it and this forum very much. Take care and keep us posted.

Thank yall for your email. We live in Mississippi (for the present) and picked up our new to us Dutch Star in Greenville, SC yesterday the third. After driving thru atlanta towing our car we hit bad weather combined with darkness. It seemed to us that the headlights were awful dim and the wife's anxiety level hit the roof. We spent the night at a wal mart in tuscaloosa, ala without water as the coach had been winterized and i wasnt going to experiment with purging the system etc etc. Happily a new day dawned and we are home safe and sound with about a million pages to read. We look forward to hitting the road in the not too distant future. Happy New Year
