Newly Joined from Ga

Hi to everyone... I kind of did this backwards.

I read posts for a few months - all I could find. Joined - posted a question (to many calculations in my post - will not do it again)... and now I am doing my intro - should of done this first - sorry!!!

I am retired Air Force (about 14 yrs now) and my wife and I have been camping / RVing with friends for several of those years. I have two very good friends that are semi full time RV'rs (on the road for 4-6 mths a year) and we have joined them over the years for as much as a month at a time. A couple of years ago I became semi-retired early due to the economy and after spending more time with them than in the past - we have decided to join the RV world.

I am now in the final research / learning mode. Already have my truck and I am now deciding what we need as far as an RV type vehicle goes. We want a fifth wheel and that is the direction we are leaning. I have through the end of the year and the holidays to make up my mind. We plan on making our purchase after our vacation is complete this winter.

Glad I found this group - wish I knew about it before...

I am sure I will have many more questions. Hope ya'll can help!!!

BRRRRR!!!! South Dakota. While I have been in -40 degree weather - I could never RV in it. You are one strong hombre...

Never RV'd in anything colder than Colorado and that was enough for me...

Thanks and trust me - those years will fly by. I still remember walking into the induction center like it was yesterday and that was over 35 years ago...
