Novice check-in

We are totally new to the RV life, in fact we haven't even picked our little play home up yet! We are starting our experience with a 2013 Winnebago Vista 26HE. It's really small and easy to drive yet has what two people need. Once we get to know what we are doing (by reading here we hope!), we may grow into one of the nicer ones I see on here.

We will lie in the shadows and soak up all the knowledge we can from all you old hats. We are glad to join your group.

Hi Mike,

I'm right with you. The Mrs. and I are in our very first MH as I write this. This is our first time out and I'm STILL overwhelmed as to where to begin...

So I'm reading more and more threads and making my list of favorite threads so NEXT weekend I'll know where to start. All I can say is this is a wonderful community with lots of helpful and friendly fellow RV'ers.

So from one newbie to another welcome

Hi Mike & Sandi! Welcome to IRV2! It's great to have you join the bunch here! Congrats on the new rig! You'll build a lifetime to great memories and meet some of the nicest folks in the world! A lot of them are right here on this forum, waiting to share their knowledge with you! Don't hold back, go ahead and fire away with the questions as they come up! I would suggest posting your questions over in the appropriate areas of the forum to get more response. Not too many folks hang out here. Good luck & God bless!

So glad to hear from other new folks! I know you'll really have a great time and this site is a real helpful place on most any topic. Just look in the right places which aren't hard to find.

I'm still reading the instructions on ours even though we've been out several times. We have found many answers here from folks with nothing to gain and just wanting to share.

We went into this knowing there would be problems with a house on wheels and with right attitude, those problems were actually a kind of fun learning experience.

All the BEST!

We really appreciate your attitude as we are getting a little apprehension about now with 3 days to go! You're right of course, attitude is everything. Thanks to Steve & Lyneete and Joe & Annette also for your encouragement. One thing is for sure, this is a unique and pleasant place to meet new people.

Welcome to IRV2 from North Carolina. When we picked up our 2011 winnebago View and was handed the "big" black portfolio I thought wow thi is a lot of material. It helped me to go to the appliance as I read the section and used it. I still use the manual as needed. Enjoy your new Vista and again welcome. Many, many talented people here.
