Ocean County NJ
Glad to be here; Pam & I began this part of our life in 2010 when we bought a Jayco Greyhawk 31 foot (32?) Class C and headed off to Alaska for our first trip.....all the way to Homer, and then on the ferry to Kodiak Island to see grandson in Coast Guard. Alaska State Ferries measured us as 32 feet. We bought this 2009 model with 4K miles on it and now are over 22K. We travel with 90+ pound dog.

We were down your neck of the woods this weekend. We spent yet another weekend at Turkey Swamp campground. I think this was our 5th or 6th weekend there this season. By far it's our favorite local hangout and only an hour from home.

Very interesting, Don. Enjoyed your photos....we spent Thanksgiving in Savannah last year. Never tried Turkey Swamp, nor have we tried the local campground on Rte 9, Cedar Creek (private) but wife remembers she and late hubby and kids camped there years ago.

This was the year of state and county campgrounds with only two private campground stays. One during the Christmas/ New Years week in Dauphin Island Alabama and one on the Esopus Creek in NY. Other than that, we've enjoyed not being part of the seasonal communities of the private places. We really love Turkey Swamp. Lot's for the dog to do with the big lake and hiking trails and a short trip for a day at the shore for us. Try it, you'll like it!
