Old guy with a new home? Before

My new project and home. I'm setting up a spot to give it all the attention it needs. Thinking I might be on the road in a year or so. No hurry. It's been in an impound lot so I think this qualifies as a rescue, right?

Are you really an old guy? I just ask because I'm one and no way would I have the ambition to tackle that. 40 years ago maybe...

Shopdog,

Does the interior look to be in good shape or will you have to do a lot in there?

The outside from this view doesn't look all that bad - just needs a good cleaning. The roof would be major concern to me.

Having a project keeps us young!

Let us know how the project progresses.

Drive safe - Richard

Rear springs look a bit low. Not a big job
A good clean will make a world of difference.

Good luck and let us all know how you get on

Welcome to the forum. Congrats on an oldie but a goodie.

You are joining a good group of folks here with good info to share. Read the various threads here and ask questions as they come up or add info if you can.

Good luck on the project and enjoy the adventure!

Are we looking at the same picture? This was never a goodie.

Congrats will certainly be in order if it does get rescued.

I own a 40 yo sailboat, 25 yo sports car and TT, and am full time in my vintage MH; so I am not 'it's got to be new snob'.

If all it needed was a pressure washing and new tires it would not be in an impound lot.

Yeah, it's pretty rough but it's all there. Needs a total remodel inside but no more than a trashed apartment. Going to be a cross of tiny house\tiny shop. Kitchen\bath rear, cab-over bed, work space in the middle. Feeling fortunate to find this guy. Looks like everything I want will fit! Oh, I'm newly retired from 4 lifetimes of construction and maintenance. I think this will be fun. Reason for the shop aspect is the need for a place to keep and use my tools. Who needs a dinette and sofa when you have a work bench!

Impounded as favor to previous owner so not completely dead. Toyota so there's aftermarket bolt-ons to update everything reasonably priced. Proper year to have the right dually setup. I'm really good with it.

Newly retired at 63 from construction\maintenance stuff. This better be a perfect hobby for me cause I'm all in. Using a camper (homemade, tiny) winter in Florida, or a Bounder 29 in Colorado mountains in summer last 2 years so this feels just right.

I think Waiter21 had one of these, I am sure he will have good info.
