Old..... new guy to the RV world

Hi everyone.......

I'm completely new to RV travel but I've been reading this forum for the past couple of weeks as my wife and I have been considering a Class A purchase. We are looking forward to getting to know all of our new friends here.

We are about two years from my wife's retirement and we want to get out of these WNY winters. We plan on spending our first retirement winter in Florida and then driving across country to visit family and friends all over this great country. We thought it would be a good idea to buy it now and learn the right way to use our motor home before we jump into traveling.

Just this afternoon..... after looking at quite a few motor homeskills and learning from everyone in the Class A forum, we finally found the motor home we truly love. We've looked at quite a few, but this was an absolutely amazing motor home for a 2003.

We bought a 34 foot, HR Vacationer but won't take delivery until April 14th. Our coach has got 34,000 miles on it with 175 generator hours. We truly had a hard time finding anything wrong with it.

I'll post some pictures of it soon.

I just wanted to say "Hi" and thank you to everyone that has contributed to the Class A forum.

As a fellow new to the motorhome world I found a video that I watched and learned a lot from on tips to driving our new (to us ) motorhome. I hope you don't mind but I have been a truck - heavy equipment operator for years and found this helpful

Man on man! A 14-year-old RV with 34,000 miles. That's a find. Congratulations.

My wife and I are new to this ourselves. I'm saying it's a good idea to keep it close to home for a while to learn your rig and just get any glitches out of the way before you hit the open road.

I've got to drive it home on the 15th.... we will camp locally this spring and maybe try a little road trip this summer. Lots to learn, for sure.
