On the road again

I have been visiting forums the past few months and everything I have read I decided this one looks like the place I can learn the most. The wife and I enjoyed a few years of camping with a 28’ tag along but got away from it about 5 years ago. We always planed to one day we would get a RV when our lives slowed down as we reached retirement. All that changed a few months ago when we traveled to Florida to visit with my aunt and uncle. This trip was more eye opening than I ever imagined it would be we learned about my uncle’s health issues and realizing that any day can be our last. It’s time to stop putting things off and start living for today. In 2012 my aunt and uncle bought a brand spanking new Tiffin Allegro during there time owning this amazing rig we traveled along side them in our tag along and met up with them along trips. We made a deal that now has that rig in my driveway. It sat for about two and a half years in the Florida sun before we picked it up for the drive north to our home in Pittsburgh PA. We had a few bumps along the like ABS light coming on cruise control not working and the big fun was driving down the interstate when we lost power it took me a few minutes to figure out that there was a fuel issue. I am a carpenter with decent mechanical skills I will be doing most of my own repairs and upgrades so you will find me trolling around here looking for advice.

Welcome to The Forum oh, glad to hear you got the bug back to go camping. You have a fellow Pittsburgh area member here, north of you on the river oh, we just tow a little fun finder X 210, which we really enjoy. Yes the better half and I are having health issues so the last 3 years my camper has just sat. Hopefully this will get cured up and will be able to get a few more years in. We often say we'll get it done maybe when I retire. Life is too short enjoy life today, however I will say please be careful of the covid-19 that is running around rampant. However I will say one thing this for him is truly a godsend for me as well I have learned a lot here, some really great people here most are all ready to help
