Planning Fulltime RV retirement in 5 Years Plus

Planning on Full-time RV retirement 5-10 years from now.
Looking to get ahead of the curve with planning and education.
We now have a 2011 Komfort resort travel trailer we like but has a Axel issue that burns up the tires.
We think about trading up to a fifth wheel that will fit in our favorite campgrounds.
But not wanting to go into debt as our trailer is paid for.

We right now go around looking at Nice new class A units to get a feel for what we might need.

It seems like the idea of some way getting a King bed Helps when you are really tall.

We have lots of questions but this seems like a good place to start.

Any comments welcome

Finally! Someone that I will beat to retirement! I have 1024 days (a little under 3 years) to go and I am also here looking to edumacate myself in the art of RV shopping. Although I plan on buying next year so I can pay it off before retiring.

Good luck and ask any questions!

95403, Like you, I am new to the forum. We plan to retire in 3 years full timing. I go to the older posts and look through each item. I am learning a lot. If someone posts an opinion and they have a MH I have questions about I send a private message to them.

Everyone has been great about responding and helping to educate me. I think you will find all the info you need here.

Good luck with your future. Lynne

Welcome to the best side of town. Yes siree, this is the place to find out about, BOTH, the joys of RVing and the headaches of RVing. Yep!

Just like you, I plan to RV with the DW in about 5-7 years from now. Counting the days ...

I have done a lot of research already. I have decided I'll buy used. Plenty of good used diesel pushers out there.

I have some information on depreciation of RVs, if you're interested.

Good luck in your research. The journey is half the fun!

Glad to have you here with us. You are in the same position many of us have been in. My best suggestion is to see as many different RVs as possible. Go to dealers, RV shows, and search ads online. You will be making a sizable investment in your RV, and you want to make the right choice the first time.

Good luck with your search, ask questions, and Happy Trails!!!!
