Preparing to Full-Time

Hi! We are Dan & Jen. We aren't new to RV's (we've owned tent trailers and a travel trailer) but we are looking to full-time in a couple of years. We have two sons, one is 18 and going into the Marines while the other is almost 17 and a junior in high school.

We've been doing a lot of planning and dreaming but it's coming down to it. We will start looking for a motorhome next spring, though we might not buy right away. Depends on what we find. Thought I'd sign us up (actually was already a member from our TT days) and start reading, asking questions, etc.

Look forward to becoming involved in what looks like a great community here.

Welcome, have fun shopping, the more research the better. Ask away as questions arise.

Welcome! We have slowly been climbing the RV ladder since 1980. Started with a tent, then up a rung to several pop-ups, then to a 16' trailer, and on to our 1st 26' class-C. Then, up another rung to a small 27' 5er. Back down a rung to our 2nd class-C, a 31' with no slides (what were we thinking). Finally, our current class-A (see our signature for details). We enjoyed them all to some degree, but find this coach to serve our needs the best. Good luck, lots of free info/advice on this site.

Welcome to the irv2 gang! You will find lots of helpful folks and useful info here. We visited this set of forums for a little over a year finding answers to questions we didn't know we had. Folks here make it more like a community than a forum.

Good luck with your research and plans for retirement!
