Ready to get started in TN

Retried navy and now teaching high school. Ready to get started with my dream of nice 5th wheel and 2500 Diesel. Will buy truck soon and hope to get a Chevy 2500 Duramax. I know I will be limited somewhat on what I can haul but was thinking 13000LBs Loaded for the 5th wheel. Do you all think this would be a good fit for the truck? I hate to buy something and realized I can't pull much with it. I see them all the time on roads but that don't mean they are not overloaded.
Thanks,
Bob

and a great site Bob, you will like it here and gain a lot of information. JMHO, I would step up to the 3500 Dually VS the 2500. Stability is so important when towing a 5th wheel, which are known to be a little top heavy. Remember just my opinion, but very knowlegeable when it comes to towing. Good luck and keep us informed, travel safe.

Hi Bob! Welcome to IRV2! It's great to have you join the gang!

Hope you find the right rig for your needs. Wish you were closer cause I've got a truck AND a 5er for sale. Look in the classifieds or PM me if you're interested.

Good luck, happy trails, and God bless!

Welcome, the 5th wheel forum can probably answer your question better. My thoughts, better to have a little too much capacity than not quite enough. However, keep in mind that I know absolutely nothing about either the truck mentioned or the 5'ver.
