Recently upsized from a popup

For the last couple of years we owned a 2002 Colman Taos popup that we could tow with my Jeep Wrangler. After our Fathers day camping trip my wife and I started talking about needing a bigger camper. When we bought our Taos our boys were 4 and 6 they are now two years older and a lot bigger and our 8' pup was getting really tight. I also was getting lots of complaints every time they had to climb the hill at the campground to go to the bathroom. So a few weeks ago we bought 2008 Fun Finder X240. It has everything we were looking for, it is not too big, has a bathroom, a queen bed for us, bunks for the boys and plenty of storage. After we put the deposit down we realized we should probably buy a vehicle that could actually tow it home because I don't think my Wrangler or her minivan would have done a very good job, so we traded her minivan for a 2003 Chevy Avalanche 2500.

Last weekend was our first camping weekend with the camper and we are loving the extra space and storage along with the fact that setup and tear down time have been reduced.

A couple of pics of our camper

I will miss not being able to tow with my wrangler, I loved heading off for a long weekend with the top and doors off.

Storage, coming from an 8' popup I'm loving the storage in the camper. The bunk storage area fits our chairs, easy-up, fishing equipment, canoe paddles, and both 6' kayaks and a few other misc. items. Best part is I can leave every thing in there until next trip, I only removed the pool noodles and the kick boards because they were still a little damp.
