Smile Retiring In Phoenix, New to RVing, Female, w/Dogs

Hi everyone! I'm retiring in March. Taking delivery on my first RV in January. 2015 Fleetwood Excursion 35E Diesel pusher. Will be travelling with 2 pups, probably limited to Southwest/West at first. Eventually want to go cross country to Ohio, New England for fall, and south along the coast.

I got the "bug" from my Uncle & Aunt who travelled for years all over North America. He died a few years ago, but my Aunt says he would be VERY proud of me for taking this on by myself! Lots to learn, but no fear! My first test drive was flawless, so I'm thinking "How hard can this BE??!!" Probably famous last words, but I'm so excited...both to be retiring soon and to have the freedom to travel this beautiful country. Hopefully I will have plenty of friends who want to along, but am no stranger to travelling alone either. Tough old chick combined with lots of girlie girl too...that's me!

Looking forward to meeting a lot of interesting folks along the way.

Any tips for first timer, female owner, with pets?

Welcome, I too am a female solo RVer with a dog. I highly recommend the life. I've always felt safe traveling with my pup. Course he's not exactly a little dog. LOL

Good luck and if you have questions, this is the best place to be.
