Rick Hooker

Hello fellow members. My name's Rick, I'm preparing to start my early retirement. In December I purchased my first Class A motorhome. I've owned RV's since the seventies. My first was a Stutz Bearcat 14' slide in. It was on a Ford Camper Special F-250. Those were the days. We didn't worry about MPG or the price of a gallon for that matter. I had VW Campers before and after the Stutz. Living in Ocean Beach we made it down to Ensanada regularly. It was our weekend "Hang Out". Husongg's Cantina, camped at Rosa Rita; we were in heaven. So today we're in a 1991 Safari Trek. Found this rig in Dallas. It has 40,000 miles on the turbo diesel package. My DW and I also are avid motorcycle riders. We will be pulling them behind us. I've had dozens of operations on bones. The latest was last July when Ohio State University's hospital replace my total hip. Last winter in the Midwest was absolutely a deal breaker when you've got the chronic bone pain I've been experiencing. That's the primary reason we intend to be deep in Southern Arizona during winter months. You'll be hearing from me on a regular basis I'm sure. But enough for now. I hope to hear from other TREK owners.
Rick

Welcome to the gang, Rick! You bring a lot of experience and I'm sure plenty of useful advice (maybe even some on "dem bones"). Good luck and safe (warm) travels to ya!
