Smile Rookies checking in! Winnebago 2500 FL

My husband and I are new Winnebago travel trailer owners! We picked it up last weekend and headed straight to the closest campground with full hookups to try it out. Andy will retire soon and I am a domestic engineer. We are parents to three beautiful daughters, one is married, one is engaged, and one has been traveling the world teaching elementary school in several different countries. We are the grandparents to one very cute 9 month old boy and no he is not spoiled at all!!!

Back to the trailer- it is a blue 2500FL which we pull with a Ford F-150. Our first trip was barely 45 minutes away from home. This weekend we wandered a little farther north and went to Cloudland Canyon and stayed at the KOA in Trenton, GA. So far so good!

We hope to meet some others with similar Winnies here as well when we travel! We look forward to hearing from you!

Phyllis and Andy

I'm new here as well, but just wanted to say hi! Your "voice" sounds so excited about this next phase in your life. I'm guessing you're not the type you mourn the empty nest but instead to welcome the next season.

We're new rv owners ourselves. Have loved camping for all of our 33 years together. We've got six kids, all grown, 6 grands and one on the way. Hubby hits retirement age in 10 years, and I'm self-employed.

We started tent camping, then upgraded to a dearly beloved pop up, and now a motorhome. She's as older girl we bought from Craig's list, and in the shop having some repairs done. We're hoping to take her next week up Chicago way for a disc golf tournament.
So that's us.

Again welcome, this place is a treasure trove of knowledge & support.
