rv engagement

I just got married and instead of an engagement ring I bought my wife a motorhome. Our honeymoon was a 5 day trip to Washington and Oregon. We discovered that casinos are a great free place to stay.

My rv is a 1995 Four Winds 23A with Chevy chassis and 454 engine. It's a pig on gas. I installed new tires all around before the trip. The rv ran well except it would take 40 minutes to fill the tank because the gas flows in too slow.

We can't wait for our next trip.

I had a TT and PU when we got married.
We met at a singles group, got married in Hawaii on a trip with the singles group. On the plane on the way back they kicked us out of the group!!
In '88 we traded the PU and TT on a Type B MH.

Welcome to IRV2. I think a family that RV's together , stays together. Good choice over the ring IMO.

Great choice, and I also get my wife things for our rv for her anniversary, last year she got tires, this year it may be a new awning.Sounds like you got a great deal on a wife,I did and don,t regret the choice any time since she decided we should marry.Come and visit the sunshine state,we are reverse snow birds and love it.jeffp trk with fiver

On the gas fill being too slow,no one should be in a big hurry when rving,it is a less stressfull life. You also get more fuel at a slower rate. Also fill in the cool of the morning, liquids expand so cool storage tanks and getting it in the morning you gat a little more.A theory put forth to me by a wiser older gentleman.Have fun jeffp again.

Wife and I spent our honeymoon in a tent.. From there we upgraded to a PUP, then a 13' Scamp TT then a 38' Class A (It's 13 feet wide fully set up not counting awning).

Of course I don't know how long this marraige will last.. We got married in what, 1978. and thus just celebrated annerversery #34.. May you do likewise 34 years from now and a few more after that, quite a few more.

Our wedding shower in 1996 was coed and the theme was camping. All the goodies were for tent camping although we still use the stove and lantern on occasion. Upgraded a few years ago to a '78 Apache hard sided popup trailer and this last year to a 24 foot '01 Fleetwood Jamboree.

Camping in the Pacific Northwest brings many years of memories first for us alone and now with the kids. I expect we will continue well into the empty nest years to come.

Enjoy the time - use it to connect as a couple. Welcome to the forum. Oh - and the engagement ring of the RV is hers, not yours right?

Wish my DH had gotten us an RV instead of an engagement ring when we got married...but now we have one and its rekindled the romance !!

Congratulations on your RV, and your marriage. Safe travels.
