RV format change
Am new to this rv forum. Have been rv'ing for 10 years, mostly in Class A motorhomes. Currently in a Tiffin allegro RED, 34 QFA, but begining to consider switching to the 5th wheel/ truck format for more space versatility, fuel economy and possibly simplefied maintenance. Would be very interested in others who may have gone form A's to 5th wheels and how satisfied or dissatisfied they were with the switch ? Am sure we'll miss the convenience factor of the unified rig and more stopping hassles but would really appreciate others experience. Thanks ! Mal

Welcome...I am not sure you will improve on gas mileage with a 5th wheel....the convenience factor is why I have one

Hi Mal! Welcome to IRV2! We're sure glad to have you join us! 
We pulled a 5er for 10 years before getting the MH last year. We loved it! we decided to get the MH after we retired and planned to do a lot more long-distance trips. It has worked out well for us.

We have had everything except a class B. For full time, we decided a 5er was the way to go. Just make sure you have enough truck to carry the pin weight of the trailer.
