RV Infant

So, I've read a whole lot of posts from folks new to IRV2 (like me) and from many long-time, experienced RVers. So here's my story - after years of discussing the purchase and travelling in an RV, my spouse and I have decided to take the plunge. We don't even own a unit yet - but we are actively looking - visiting dealerships and browsing on-line frequently, not only for models and options but also, to get a feel from real RVers about all the many situations that arise, operational problems and challenges, and the whole experience of being on the road in a home on wheels. I sure hope you seasoned RVers will have patience with me, an RV Infant, as I tap your brains for your knowledge and expertise. Thanks!

Every member of this group has that in common: at one time, we were all new to this. No matter what form of RV'ing you pursue, there will be a community here experienced in that area, eager to help.

Welcome aboard!

Good Idea

What a good idea to start the RV lifestyle. If you want to see the great sights of the United States it's a great way to do it. You not only see sights but along the way you meet some great people, and have a good time. Nothing better than waking up to have coffee somewhere that you only dreamed about seeing, I just love it and hope to do more once I retire. It may not be for everyone but for us that love it nothings better. Our kids still talk and laugh about their camping fun when they were kids, they still share the fun to this day with their kids.

We talked to some experienced RV's and then looked for the chassis, diesel, radiator stack and finally brand before buying. Learned a lot and it was fun.
