RV Newbie near Priest River, Idaho

Hi folks,

Well, I've gone and done it now. I decided to dip a toe into the RV water by buying a 1988 Fleetwood Soutwind. I couldn't pass it up, everything seems to work and it was only $2,500 with 38K miles, some water damage but I will fix that myself.

What a steep learning curve. I have ordered parts for the galley faucet to fix a minor drip there (ordered an extra set of faucet cartridges as they were hard to find). I am going to replace the antenna with an HD digital and a couple of the vents but other than that it seems pretty ship shape with new tires and batteries.

I'm not sure where to put my tech questions so I will go and cruise the forums a bit before posting those.

Anyway, I have been reading through posts and y'all seem like a real friendly and helpful bunch. Can't wait to try some local over nighters before the weather turns, maybe even meet a few of you fine folks.

All the best

from WA State!

Why are you going to replace the antenna? All antenna's will receive digital signals, there is nothing "magical" about them.

Welcome!

We're in Blanchard at Stoneridge Motorcoach Village. Did you buy the coach that was between Blanchard & Newport/Oldtown? Noticed it was gone the other day

Thanks for the warm welcome

Hi everyone,

Thanks for the warm welcome. I've already also received some great help in the Class C forums.

Mr D-I'm replacing the antenna because it's broken, plastic is all cracked and one side of the antenna is drooping badly.

Franz-no this one came from just outside of Chattaroy, WA.

Hope y'all have blue skies
