RV Upgrade and new member
Greetings to all. My wife and I recently sold our home in Virginia and now traveling the US en route to my wife's home state of Washington. Taking our time using a Southerly route. Traded in our 2011 Winnebago Tour for a 2014 Itasca Ellipse, a beautiful machine and our fourth rv. We are dismayed however by issues with the Lippert mid-size slide-out of which is currently stowed during our travels; it's little sister (bedroom slide) works okay being smaller and lighter. CW has ordered and received a mod kit, scheduled for install second week of January 2014. After reading a good number of posts, let's say I am less than optimistic for a long term fix. We also experienced an intermittent exhaust brake and engine de-rated performance for the first month, but after two trips to Freightliner Service Centers the issue appears to have been resolved with an update to the Cummins engine computer, software version EB90001.17 was installed, we had .14, though technically we are awaiting v. EB90001.18 which properly corrects 'calibration of the ECM' which made excessive 3559 code throws resulting in an engine checklight. Anyway, I will try to be more positive about our otherwise 'Excellent Tour of the Country'.
