Smile So much to learn

.... So thanks to everyone here for their contributions. The availability of info shared here became a deciding factor in us jumping in the water with our first trailer. You guess it. The namesake Skyline Layton 1950. It really seems well built from the late 90's. Just a shame Skyline didn't last a bit longer into the era of the web, so model specific info is not centralized very much on the WWW.

I have been lurking around for quite a while before I recently joined here and am getting tons of great info, faster than I can store in my noodle, so it's great to have this site as a rolling resource.

But I still need to ask a question. That is, can anyone direct me to a thread that is specifically devoted nomenclature, abbreviations, slang and the like?

I am coming across some things I read where that sort of resource would help...For instance just now....and forgive me, I AM a classic NOOB But I just don't know what "TOADS' are... ...and there will be plenty more I'm sure...

Safe Travels all,
Kdog n' D-nice

Hi ! Welcome to IRV2! We're sure glad you joined us!

"Toad" is slang for a towed vehicle.

Good luck, happy trails, and God bless!

Our very first RV was a 26' Layton by Skyline that we bought used in 2011. Her name was "Ruby" and she served us well for 22 trips. Hope you enjoy yours as much as we did.
Welcome to the forum and "Safe Travels"
