So very new

Picking up our very first RV, an Itasca Sunova 33C on Thursday 3/28 and heading to a campground for the long weekend to check things out. We're long time campers, but it's always been tents, not even a popup, so this will be very new for us.

I'm a school teacher and wife has a job that lets her work from home (or any place with Internet access), so we plan on some extended trips over the summer and when we retire (couple years!) some really extended trips. The campground will be our home base and is only an hour away from our house so it'll be our weekend getaway in the meantime.

We plan on getting used to driving it before adding our Jeep Grand Cherokee as our toad for the bigger trips. I've been lurking on here and reading up on things and both of us are really excited to get the RV lifestyle going, it sure beats our original thoughts on buying a condo since now we can change our condo from beach front to mountain view, to lake side, to anywhere we feel like!

Welcome to the site. You'll love the extra space over the tent. Enjoy and have safe trouble free travels. Good toad choice.

Re the condo, exactly. We were looking at the motorhome at the same time as good friends were looking at a condo in Orlando, and I got depressed just thinking about having a vacation home that could only ever be in one place!! To each their own I guess.
