I am new to the forum and will be new to RVing in a year or sooner. I currently sell my photography at regional art shows here in Ohio, Mich, Ind and Ill. I do about 12 shows a year but plan to retire from the corporate job and start doing shows across the country. My wife and I are excited about the prospect. Will be spending the next six months or so learning as much as I can to try buy the right RV for the job. I need something functional and my wife likes luxury so I think I've got my work cut out for me.

FYI if you want to have a studio/office in the RV and don't want to haul a trailer - so you can tow a car along, there are Class A Toy Haulers currently made by 2 companies and several from the past.

Welcome. There are a variety of RV types thst will fit your needs. First off you need to determine what type of RV you want. Motor homes are great for going from point A to point B, but not so great for sitting for weeks on end. They are also the most expensive form of RV. At the opposite end of the spectrum is probably a tent trailet. Each has its uses and drawbacks. Start with dealers lots looking at the different types, and try to narrow down what will work for you. Then determine a budget for the purchase. Then go shopping.

Welcome to iRV2. I believe you have found the friendliest RV site on the Internet. Good luck with your plans to change your way of doing business. There is a wealth of information here that can had just by asking. Don't be afraid to ask as our members like to help when they can. I hope you enjoy the forums. Hopefully you and your DW can find middle ground in your choice of an RV.

The Outlaw looks like a good choice but you will definitely need to do your research for both an RV and your towed vehicle. For the RV, you'll need extra space in a controlled environment of your coach to store the finished prints that you plan on selling. If you printing your own images, you'll need space for your printer which can be a few feet long if your printing something as large as 20x30's or larger. If your doing your own mounting, you'll need the storage and table space for your mounting boards and board cutter. Same with shrink wrapping your finished mounted images. As for post post processing your images, you'll need to somehow to find a way to secure and protect your monitor during your travels or switch to something like a Wacom Cintiq.

Most art shows that I've been to are weekend events either in city/county parks or closed off streets and may not allow camping at the event, so your towed vehicle will have to be large enough to carry your canopy shelter, it's walls, display shelves/cases, work table, chairs and inventory.

Welcome to the forum.....take your time looking at the advantages and disadvantages of each form of RV.....I think you are probably looking at a class A or a 5er. Go to dealerships and look at different rigs......ask owners questions. Look at reviews.....We took a year before settling on our 5er and we are still very happy with it....Good luck with your research and choice.
