Howdy All...
T & T from West Palm anxiously awaiting delivery of our 1st RV (Jayco 26M). I do have a quick question if anyone feels like commenting.
Having only gained our “expertise” from watching hours of YouTube videos and reading online, would it be advisable to hire a 3rd Party inspector to join us for the delivery inspection (punchlist)?
Thanks and we are certainly excited to be here!

Hi Tobias, and welcome.
Yes it would be good to have someone experienced go through the RV with you at delivery. Either a professional inspector, or if you know someone who's been around RV a lot and is very familiar with their systems that would help too. Being new (and excited about your new RV) there are some things you just won't think to look for or check.
Also, if you can get a chance to spend a day & night or two in it before you actually drive it off the lot that will help a lot. It gives you a chance to USE many of the systems and perhaps find issues they can fix before you drive away.

Thomas;
We are glad you joined us. Congratulations on the purchase of your 1st RV and your entry into this exciting lifestyle. I did my own PDI an all the 5 MHs I have owned. I did sleep in 4 of them one night before purchasing them. That was very helpful. If you are unfamiliar with RV systems having a 3rd party who is would be very beneficial also.
There is a wealth of RV info available to you here just by asking. Browse the forums that interest you and don't be afraid to ask questions as our members like to help when they can.
Post often and share your new RV adventures with us. Enjoy the forums.

Hi ! Welcome to IRV2! We're sure glad you joined us!
Congrats on the new rig! I would locate a certified RV inspector for that job! Be safe, have fun, and keep her between the ditches!
Good luck, happy trails, and God bless!

Welcome to the forum. Congrats on the new rig and it would not be a bad idea to have a professional inspector to tag along with you.
You are joining a good group of folks here with good information to share. Read the various threads here and ask questions as they come up or add information if you can.
Good luck and enjoy the adventure!

Glad to have you here with us.
It is a good idea to have an inspector there. It is also a good idea to video the delivery. There are many things that down the road you'll say, "what did they say?" You will have a video for reference.
