Greetings from IN! We are new owners of an old Fleetwood Southwind 32v coach with Workhourse frame. As we are working through the obvious needs, we would be glad for things to look for that rookies would miss!

Southwind 32v
It is a 2003, but manufactured in 2002. Has 74K miles. Appreciate the responses! I received hardly any maintenance records, so will change all the fluids. We do have a "check engine" light on (since we bought it), as well as the "EGS" light. The former owner said the EGS brakes were behaving erratically, so a mechanic verified that pulling the fuse on them would solve the problem, which he did, and the noise went away, though the EGS is not functioning. I presume I need to pull all the wheels, and check brake wiring and linings?

Do you mean the "ABS" light? I've never heard of a EGS light.
There was a brake recall on the Bosch brakes that came with the coach originally. Do you know if the recall has been performed?
You need to get an OBDii reader and find out what the Check Engine Light is telling you.

Sorry, a typo. Yes, I meant ABS light. No, not sure if any factory recalls were performed. I am supposing so. Today, I changed the coolant and the brake fluid, and the check engine light is now off. I do need some info on the plastic radiator drain plug. I totally removed the center of it to get the water to drain, and then reinstalled it inside the plastic base, barely tightening it. It is not leaking but I'm concerned about its stability. Anyone had experience with that?

I always had my dealer replace my coolant because here in our city we can't just run it down the storm drains. I know that drain plug can be a bit of a pain from reading other peoples posts about it.
You said the check engine light is out...what about the ABS light?

Welcome fellow Southwind 32 v member. There is a Southwind subforum and also Workhorse and Fleetwood forums. They can be a wealth of knowledge.
