Thumbs up Starting New Again

New to site, but not RVs. Years ago had 73 20ft and enjoyed trips and camping at Long Beach in Washington. Sold that one back in 82 and now picked up an 86 Bounder 34ft in good shape.Planning trip for next year to go to Ukiah Ca. to see grandchild and great grand baby. Not to sure where to stay yet or if being new to such a long rig, if really want to tow car. Got alot of help just reading what is put on this site.Everyone is very helpful to others and hope I can be too.Think You for haveing such a great site with great people. Thanks again, Mike

Mike, Welcome to the group, and back to RVing. You'll have a great trip and you'll have many more great memories as well. Good luck and have safe trouble free travels.

Mike:

Hi from the ...COLD...prairies of South Dakota, and WELCOME to the iRV2 bunch.

Just our opiniion, but we'd strongly suggest towing a small vehicle for gettin around when camped. It's so very cumbersome to rely on your main rig for mobility when you'd like to visit interesting places. Every time ya want to go somewhere ya have to break camp and that gets pretty old very fast.

Anyway, welcome again.

Welcome and good luck with your travels. I also found it to be beneficial to tow a car for reasons Chickadee stated. Don't worry about "being new to such a long rig". You will quickly get used to it.

Welcome to the forum Mike! We agree about having a toad being a good idea. Good luck and safe travels!
