Starting Out
Hi All
First time posting from Vancouver, Canada. I'm in manufacturing and my wife is in law.....blue collar vs white collar....opposites do attract!
We've been enjoying drive in tent camping with our 8 and 10 year old along with a 95lb chocolate lab for 4 years. The list of camping stuff has grow to the point that loading/unloading takes 4-5 hours. This year all we could do is laugh. After loading (almost) everything at the campsite we looked at the dog....oh oh were are you going.
We're looking for a 26'-32', 3-4 season (Wet Coast) bunkhouse or toy hauler (for kayaks/canoe) to save the load/unload time so we can head off at the spur of the moment and enjoy more time in the outdoors.
Take Care

Northwood makes a couple of toy hauler travel trailers, with electric bunk beds in the back. Here is a link. They make the arctic fox line, (and desert fox).
I always looked at them as a good choice if I was at a similar point as you in my earlier years of camping with family and kids (and stuff....)

Hi
Thank you everyone for the warm welcome.
It's a long search story....stated out looking at pop-ups then talked to people that upgraded to expandable/hybrds....then onto ball hitch TT. Now we realize that the build quality of a toy hauler or 5th Wheel is upgraded compared to that of a ball hitch TT so we are looking a little in that direction.
The limiting factor is a F250 7.3 Powerstoke with 10,000lb tow capacity.

Welcome to the RV community! We regret not getting an RV when our kids were young. Think that we would all have loved the experience! So great choice!
We have had 2 5th wheels which we have enjoyed but recently bought a 2016 Navion. It is a compact motorhome (25.5 ft) which will allow us to easily camp in the parks and eliminates all the towing variables. We travel with 2 dog(Border Collie) and 2 cats but no children. While I realize that our unit may be to small for your crew, I encourage you to research motorhomes. Had we realized how convenient they were we would have skipped the 5ers!!
Happy Trails and see you down the road, Lynnowensmom

Welcome to another west-coaster. We have / had a tent trailer, truck camper, bumper pull and a fifth wheel. We enjoy the fifth wheel the most. Enjoy your hunt, and good luck.

Welcome. Check out the Jayco light fifth wheels. My brother in law has one had he loves it. Easy towing and your 250 will handle it. Enjoy the search... It's half the fun!!
