...The best is yet to be!

We just bought our 2017 Coachmen Prism, Mercedes Sprinter (gently used) a few weeks ago and we are totally new to the RV world. Would appreciate any advice re this home away from home. First question: Is there anything more specific to guide us than what’s on line (and our “RV for Dummies“ book)? Also need advice on best cover to get? Look forward to connecting with this group!!❤️

Welcome aboard! You've come to the right place. There is lots of great information in the archives here and there are lots of very knowledgeable people will to share information.

Did you buy from a dealer or a private party? If you bought from a dealer, they should have given you a "walk through" to show you the basics. Never enough, but a starting point. If not, YouTube and this site are really good resources. If you have no previous experience and didn't buy from a dealer, you might look for an independent RV service provider and ask them how much they would charge to do a basic introduction/orientation.

Much of it will be trial by fire and mistakes will be made. The more you educate yourself, hopefully the fewer the mistakes and hopefully less impact (expense).

So, two of the easiest mistakes to make that happen a lot are not keeping an RV refrigerator level and leaving the electric water heater turned on when the tank is drained.

Not sure what type of refrigerator your Sprinter has, but if it will run on propane, it needs to be level any time it running.

Good luck!
