I've been reading these forums from top Google results for months on end now, seemingly every day as my fiancee and I research, plan and hopefully purchase our first RV. I *wanted* to make my first post a "Hey, here's my new (to me) RV!" post, but instead (aside from this introduction), it's going to be something about a warning beep on a non-working slide.
A tiny bit of my weird history:
- I lived in an RV in SLC for the summer of 1999 on a job that ended up falling apart. We drove that 32' gasser towing a 24' tech trailer. Driving it in the mountains was a nightmare, but I was young and hopeful.
- I am a roadie some of the time, so i spend long stretches of my life on tour buses, which give me a feel for nomadic, bus-based life, at least on houses that cost a couple million bucks.
- My current price range is... modest to say the least. Fortunately, I like messing with technical stuff and i'm only moderately terrible at it, so I can manage with SOME things. I'm looking for an RV that's mechanically (mostly?) sound, but needs some interior work, especially because the girl is in the custom, high-end furniture business and loves the #DesignLife or whatever the kids are saying.
Anyway, I live in SoCal, and hope to be joining your illustrious ranks someday soon. Now I'll probably go make an annoying post about a beeping slide.
Keep on keepin' on!
