The time has come, and questions

I have reached a place in life where I think I'm ready to take the plunge.

Dad always dreamed of having a fifth-wheel and traveling the country with Mom. He had been a truck driver after Vietnam and wanted to share a nice adventure with Mom. He got ill, and, well, never got his fifth-wheel.

I work from home and we have two smaller kids at home. The last two months have us welcoming a grandson and a granddaughter. So with kids up north, down south, and out west, plus my work-from-home job and home-schooling for the two still with us, well, it all lined up.

I've got a 2020 Ram 1500 Rebel (ecodiesel) and I'm looking to start small. I have my eye on a used 2022 Ibex 19MBH. Out-the-door price on that is $24000 including taxes and weight-distribution hitch (with installation).

Any helpful hints for a noob? Anything not adding up? Thanks for any feedback!

Hi ! Welcome to IRV2! We’re sure glad you joined the gang here!

I'm not a towables guy but I'm sure someone will be along to offer advice.

Good luck, happy trails, and God bless!

Welcome! We had a 26 ft Rockwood for five years and it was so fun. Off grid camping was our favorite. We really got attached to that camper it was hard to let it go. I hope you all have as much fun as we did.
