The Virginians

My name is Connie Seagle and the love of my life is Tommy. We have been married for 35 years and plan to retire in 2016. Tommy is the Public Works Director for the Town of Wytheville, VA and I am the Office Manager for Crisp Manufacturing in Rural Retreat, VA. We have 2 adult children, Britni Levitt and Heath Seagle and 2 BEAUTIFUL grandchildren, Beth Levitt and Ryan Brabson.

For Christmas, I bought Tommy a 2008 3500 Chevrolet Diesel Duramax Duelly and he bought me a 2007 Keystone Montana 3400RL 5th Wheel. When we put the 2 together we have a fine rig and soon to be wonderful home.

For now, we have to be content with putting the 5th wheel in a local campground, Deer Trail Park, in Wytheville, VA from April til October. But come 2016, we plan to hit the road so we can spend time in Michigan with Britni, her husband Ryan and their beautiful daughter Beth; and in Winchester, VA where we can spend time with our son Heath, his beautiful fiancé' Evelyn and her handsome son Ryan.

I want to be apart of our children and grandchildren's lives and this seems to be the best way to do that. As we prepare to hit the road, I am sure we will have many many questions so I will say a big THANK YOU in advance for any advice or information you can give me. HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

Congratulations on your "presents". Would have loved to see Santa get those down the chimney!!! Sounds like you have a great plan for a wonderful retirement. We still have a few years to catch up, but, we will get there! Good luck and travel safe.

Welcome to the forum. If you're interested in taking your rig on the road, here's a map I made that shows the campgrounds in Virginia that are open during the winter. It is zoomed in to Richmond, so zoom out and click away! https://www.zeemaps.com/map?group=12...2C%20VA&add=1#

Welcome to the forum. Sounds like you have your retirement plans pretty well mapped out....Our grandkids live across the country and we try to get out to see them twice a year. More often when we retire though. Good luck with your future plans.

Safe and Happy Travels.
