This is my year!!
Hi, ya 'll! New from NC. Birthday number 66 yesterday & ready for my next chapter. So much to do! I'm SDF -planning to go fulltime by fall ; purchase by summer. (Getting rid of stuff & then sell my townhouse). Was thinking class c because of easier to maneuver but starting to hear much more about class a. I'm into used $40k$50k Range. Sister moving to Tx from CA. so a great area to winter. Then back to NC Mtns. For summer near grandkids. I will need to workkamp. (Background in sales.) Did pop-up growing up & then tent camped at 31 with two boys to Grand Canyon. Can't wait for the adventure to begin. All the doubters get out of my way !!

Welcome! A 30' class A is easy to handle and you'll love the view. And I would think that $40-50K is doable. Go to Craigslist, RV Trader or our classifieds on IRV2 to get an idea of floor plans and pricing. Good hunting!

Welcome from eastern NC. I think you would really like a class A up to a 35 footer. Check out wheelestatervs.com for good prices on a used unit.
Dealer prices in your area a high for a used unit, but they are negotiable.
HAGD,
Alex

thanks, wingtrike!
I appreciate your mentioning "Wheelestate". I actually heard of him from a guy I contacted on craigslist. I responded to someone who refurbished rigs. He was strongly advising a Class A DP &also said I should contact Wheelestate. I initially wanted to ask how to find a good/honest RV tech in this area to go over a used rig being sold through an individual. (My thinking is that they would probably work for a dealership). Your info is appreciated. I know my requirements, especially regarding the $40-50k range is in the lower end, but I'm gonna see what's out there for me. May have to do the Class C. Next time I head down to Raleigh to see my son, I may head over to Princeton also. Thanks!!

Thanks! I know that is a low $...but I 'm hoping! Seems like I am really getting a "nudge" that everyone really happy with their A's! Buying from reputable association is essential! Any ideas on how to find a mechanic that is RV savvy ¬ connected to a dealership ? I guess that scares me (because I am in sales/ha ha!). Since I will be on the road by myself...I at least want it checked out very well!! Thanks for your input!

Google rv mechanics, mobile rv repair. Check with local rv parks, they many have the info. you seek.
