Hello Everyone!

This is our first MH and we are LOVING it! Since we are newbies to the RV world, we have consulted this forum on many occasions for answers to our many questions. We have only used our MH twice since we bought it in February (unless you count camping in our culdesac at home, then we've used it four times). We don't have another RV for comparison, but we love the layout and the crazy amount of storage we have in our MH, and the king size bed is awesome! The Ford 550 chassis makes for a nice ride and we're currently getting around 11.3 MPH without towing anytying (we will check that again after we have towed our RZR4).

We're kind of turned off by the somewhat negative comments about Thor and its product. We had a couple of minor issues with the MH (as with every new home) and Thor has taken care of everything for us including buying new batteries when the original ones wouldn't hold a charge.

If anyone would like to share their comments on the Four Winds Super C we would appreciate hearing from you.

Sounds Great! The Ford F550 must be awesome. Over 11 mpg--Real Nice.

Now that Ford has dropped the Eseries vans I suppose the Fseries Trucks will be the new standard for the C class rvs.

Best of Luck and ENJOY.

Hello again Jboesq.

We bought our 35SK this January at the Kansas City RV show. So we are still getting to know it as well. At this point, we absolutely love it. It fits our needs and camping style very well. We have been on two official camping trips so far this season totaling 17 nights. I guess the days and nights in the driveway don't count. This particular trip we are currently on is in Branson, Missouri. I've was very curious before the Branson trip as to how the 6.7 Super Duty would handle the Ozark hills. It was awesome. I think it down shifted to 4th gear twice but held the 63 mph that I had the cruise set on. More than enough power for me. I had the fresh water tank 2/3's of the way full, nothing in the grey or black tanks and fully loaded and got 10.7 mpg on the trip. I will do the same for the ride home but will be towing the CRV. (I didn't tow it to Branson. DW and DS will be driving it down tomorrow to finish out to the weekend together) I'll see what my mileage will be when I get home. I am really impressed with how quiet the coach is going down the road. Nice comfortable ride.
We also had about a half dozen minor issues that were taken care of by our dealer. Door striker, furnace heater hose fell of of the register, ice maker supply line leak at the valve, cargo door adjustment, added length to the television coax cable so it could rotate fully and a water pump leak. Not so bad at all. I know the 35SK is a new model for Thor and have heard many "new model year" horror stories but we are keeping our fingers crossed that any issues that WILL come to us down the road, will be as minor as the first half dozen.
It is a good thing that we are not boon dockers, in simulating a dry camp day, the generator (using the AGS) sure got enough "exercise" to last for a month. I could hear my coach batteries hollering "Plug into shore power"
We are very satisfied with our Thor Four Winds to this point.

Rudy

Hat-Trick,

These new Super Class C's on the bigger F Series are rather new, so you and the others on this thread are pioneer's.

iRV2 offers 2 Forums that fit these awesome RV's:
Class C's at: Class C Motorhome Discussions - iRV2 Forums
and
MDT Truck Conversions at: MDT Conversions - iRV2 Forums

Sorry there's really no perfect fit.

Best luck and safe travels

Welcome to the gang at irv2! Congrats on your new Thor wheels! Glad to hear you're enjoying it. You've been offered good information already. I read thru it quickly and did not see one place mentioned you might investigate on the forums. At the top of the page among the main menu options, you will find the Owners Forums and under that an option for Thor Industries. In that forum and in others, you can search within the forum or thread for your model and other useful info. Good luck and happy travels to ya!
