time for tiki lamps and bug spray - my first rv

well its done

im the proud owner of a 28.5 ft (im told size matters in the rv world) fleetwood flair......with one bell and at least one whistle....

and its mine...paid for and the gas and propane tanks r full.

now its time to see how this all works........ the best news so far is that i have emptied my black and grey water tanks successfully. is there some kinda patch or merit badge for that?

The only people who have not been baptized during a dumping ritual are those who have never done it and those who lie about it. Glad to hear the first one went well, but it's going to be the one where you are distracted by something else that will go terribly, terribly wrong. Not as wrong at the RV movie, but wrong none the less.
The nice part is that when you compare this against all the good things you are about to enjoy it will have no impact on your overall enjoyment of the RVing lifestyle. Be sure that when it does go wrong that you tell us the story. There's nothing better than reading about other peoples misfortunes to make us all feel better!

Just remember to ALWAYS pull the gray valve first to check the connections! That tip saved me big! and I continue to do it. Once everything looks tight I follow up with the black until empty then use the gray to clean out the hose with a few open and close cycles while draining the gray.

Putting out a good size fan not only creates a nice breeze but also makes it difficult for the bugs to get to you flying upwind.

All my dumpings went well until I took a friend with me on a run to show her just how easy it was! WRONG! Wasn't quite as bad as "RV" (which we keep with us too!), but
it definately didn't help her get the RV fever!
