Trade or not to trade?
trying to evaluate whether I should trade my rv or not. I have a 1994 Georgie Boy pursuit 32 ft gas 36000 miles paid for. It runs real good. Needs and ex. manifold gasket, and ball joints and air bags, maybe shocks. We like it and have replaced the carpet with nice vinyl and upgraded the furniture some and a new radio kenwood with gps and back up capability with surround sound capability. This summer we went through and did a major tune up with all new belts and hoses.
Now we are considering a one owner Monaco Windsor single slide 330 cummins fully loaded. with 67000 miles. they are asking 46K or my trade, 7 cash and 27 financing with a 330 payment. Is this a good deal? How can we get more time to spend in RV? Live in it?

IF it were me, AND I liked the coach I have now, it would be cheaper to repair the one you have than to make payments on another one. Thinking maybe stagger the repairs where you don't have to pay for all at once, but that's just what I WOULD DO you might have reasons we don't know here.
Good luck with your choice!

Since it sounds like you are considering a diesel pusher, they generally have many advantages over gas powered rigs, such as air bag suspension, air brakes, engine noise is 30 feet or more behind you, generator is not under the bedroom, more cargo capacity, etc.... Have you driven it yet?

Thanks and please keep the advice coming....
it is a 1999 Monaco Windsor, and it really is great. drives much better of course than the GB for all of the above reasons. We really could use the extra room since we have 3 grand kids that visit some and 2 dogs. My biggest concern is using it more since we will have a larger investment, and I am not sure we have the time yet....anybody have a crystal ball? I am 63 and my better half is 53 we knew this day was coming when I would retire first, but it sure came a lot faster than we thought. If all goes well with restrucg finances we could both retire within 2 or 3 years. As you can see we are chomping at the bit to get on the road. Appreciation to all that listen, and any advice will be appreciated.

Welcome aboard....and good luck on your decision. There are a lot of issues to sort out, but if you do it methodically I'm sure you'll make the right decision...

I think I'd do a bit more research.. Google around a bit to see for yourself but I found most Windsors of that year seem to be in the 35k-40k range. Meanwhile enjoy your GB Pursuit! Certainly cannot beat the monthly payment!

Price is a bit high for the Windsor. Friends just sold their 2000 Dynasty for that price. There are alot of clean used DP's out there for sale, just take your time looking. Good luck.

Thanksgiving
One more thing to be thankful for: you! yes all of you that have helped during this big decision for us. Our first house was about as large an investment as this pusher, and we are just not confident yet as to what to do. I hope you all have a very blessed Thanksgiving with family and friends in a warm place.

Scam alert
Please consider this.
This is a scam.....
I found an old post almost a year ago that was almost an identical scam.
Is there anyway to thread this post to Scam alert?
The lady I talked to a Wade trucking seemed very concerned.
Isnt there anything that can be done?
The other old post I saw was cheated out of 35K
The red type below is from the scammer.
Please be carful.

If you might could ask for a contact number where you could call and speak to them about the RV, that would be helpful. Also, if you could pass on where you saw the ad for the RV and any information about an ad #, that would be great as well.
Thanks,
Russell Wade

I have attached here some pictures and also you can find below in bold text more details.
Let me be more specific about the Amazon transaction. I have used them in the past a couple of times both as a buyer and seller and they did a great job each time, everything went very smooth.
First of all you will have to send me an email with your name, address and phone number so that I can register our transaction with Amazon Simple Pay with the price and all the other details. After this they will send you the general terms and conditions regarding their service. This will not be a buying obligation for you.
If you agree with those terms they will be sending you further instructions on how to send payment towards their company's bank account. Once they have the funds in their account I will begin the shipping to you. If you decide to keep the RV they will forward the funds to me. If you decide against the purchase you will be fully refunded.
