Trailways

My Wife and I bought a new Forest River FR3 7/19/2013 and shortly thereafter started a 9,000 mile jurney thru 26 states. I thought that buying a new "Coach" would mean trouble free motoring! If anyone is interested in my adventures I'd be happy to spin a few yarns. If not it will be out in book form at a latter date. Seriously, I'd like to hear from other FR3 owners to see if they have had similar problems, or possibly give those folks a "Heads-Up.

Congrats on the new rig! Sorry you're having some problems, but I guess you will have some whether new or used. Enjoy the forum!

Good luck, happy trails, and God bless!

Welcome to the site! Your education has just begun.... New, used.. it doesn't matter.. it's still an RV. Too bad we can use the VIN off the units to qualify them for "dependent" status for taxes....

Regardless, enjoy!!

Welcome to irv2. You'll find a lot of helpful folks here, eager to share and help out whenever they can. Sorry to hear about the problems with the new coach. New coaches can be plagued with 'bugs' in the beginning, but if you're patient and persistent, I'm sure you'll end up very happy.

Jim

Welcome! Once you iron out the problems, you will gain confidence in your ability to deal with the issues every RV owner has. It must be upsetting to have many problems in a new coach. Many years ago we took a trip with friends in their new MH. There were several problems, one of which required fixing immediately at a repair shop. The issue I remember the best was the hot water line being connected to the toilet!! We had many laughs and jokes about that. So much for dealer prep. Good luck!

Welcome.
You will find lots of folks here willing to share information.

The more you read the ore you will find that you situation is really not that unusual.

The Quality Control we find and expect from the auto industry and others had not at this time standard in the RV industry.

An interesting article below on that very thing:

Companies ignore customer concerns at their own peril > RV Daily Report |

It take patients and perseverance to get things right. Then you have peace of mind and full enjoyment.

Be sure to use some of that time to make it uniquely yours.
