Welcome from the Misty Isle

I've been in your beautiful section of country, always admiring it thru the windshield of my 18-wheeler. Welcome aboard, fellow iRV2 newbie. Hope you get a chance to visit our awesome PacNW area.

Figuring things out

THanks for all the warm wishes.. Now if I could just figure all these things out without the instruction manuals... I"m not bad at Mechanical, Electrical but knowing the tricks for powering up, igniting, heating, cooling, slide outs, awnings.. etc would be helpful.. UGH.

Wife & I have a classic (as in: really OLD) pickup and a classic (again, really OLD) truck camper... all in excellent running condition. The trick is to use the internet forums and YouTube to the max... it's amazing how much great knowledge is out there. (And a LOT of pure BS, as well.) I've got most of the manuals for stuff in the TC, but reading tips and experiences of owners & users has been extremely helpful. Usually there are several alternatives to a problem, and one can chose what best suits. Good luck!

It seems that everything is up and running great. Now I'm trying to figure out the smaller details. Like this switch box

That's the "idiot light" status display for your holding tanks--the fresh water, the gray water, black water, and also a battery charge indicator. Press the appropriate button circle to see the LED light display (levels are pretty self-explanatory.) Most users (including me) experience false readings as the tank sensors get dirty with scum, etc. which needs a bit of detergent (Dawn) or cleaner added to the tank.
As for the battery levels, its only a rough guide. Only a digital voltmeter or a hydrometer reading gives a reliable result.
Hope this helps.
