Wannabe RV'er

Hi Folks,
I'm recently retired and seriously considering buying my first RV. I'm divorced and have family in South Texas, Eastern Iowa, and Northern, MN. I'm retired Air Force and have lived in Germany, Maryland, Texas, Arizona, Japan, Korea and now in Alabama in addition to Iowa, Minnesota, Illinois and Texas as a civilian. Looking forward to visiting old haunts, family, Military reunions and places I've never been before in my new RV. I'm thinking of a travel trailer to pull with my current Tundra pickup. I've been researching the Puma 25RKSS. Any suggestions, warnings, or just things I should be thinking about would be appreciated. Hope to meet many of you at various camp sites in the near future.
Thanks,
Willy

Willy,

Welcome to iRV2 and thank you for your service to this great country we live in!

I'm sure you will enjoy the fellow campers you will meet on the road.

Check the towing capacity of your Tundra and the weights of the trailers you are considering. Make sure you have the right hitch, brake controller, etc. to make your travels safe. Make sure your mirrors go out wide enough so you can see what's coming and change lanes safely. I see so many vehicles on the road that can't see behind them and are not set up properly to tow.

Good luck and be safe!

Hi Willy, and welcome to the forum!

I think you'll love being retired and traveling in your RV. We have found it a great way to visit people and places at will and we know we won't be imposing and we'll sleep in our own bed every night! We're full timing which adds the dimension of being able to just "live" anywhere we like for as long as we like.

Best of luck to you. Have fun.
