Thumbs up WhatsupwithChuck?

Finally went FT on Dec 7th, 2010. Bought my Fourwinds class C 12 years ago, new, then basically waited to retire while using it a couple trips a year. That was a mistake, should have retired way back then. Now I have a 12 year old MH with 26k miles on it.

Did just make my first retirement trip from Columbus, Ohio to Fresno Ca to spend time with Daughter and Grand Daughter for a few months. As it turns out, I invited my sister and her husband to go along for the ride. they accepted, and what a trip we had!!! Spent 10 days to get here, saw Nashville, Memphis, Littlerock, Meteor Crater, Grand Canyon, LAughlin Ariz and a lot of old Rt 66 and it's museums. The old MH never missed a lick, ran like a clock, pulled my scooter and car on a dolly just like I dreamed. That's more Luke than good planning. Sis and husband since flew back to Ohio, but have reservations with me to ride back in the MH on the northern Rt on the next trip.

Chuck;

Welcome to iRV2. Congratulations on your retirement. Isn't it amazing that as we get older we acquire 20/20 hindsight? Post often and share your RV adventures with us.

Chuck:

Hi from Arizona and a BIG WELCOME to the iRV2 gang!

Say, when yer ready for that return trip to Columbus from Fresno, be sure to rattle the ol iRV2 cage here to obtain alot of good suggestions as to places to go and things to see along that Northern return route.

.....For Example:....think about stopping for a great hunk of apple pie and a cup of coffee at Cheyenne Crossing, located at the South end of the Spearfish Canyon drive West of Deadwood in the Black Hills. etc., etc., etc.,

.....of course.... alot of these suggestions seem to be related to good FOOD venues.....but.....occasionally someone DOES interject some other good sites to see and adventures to enjoy as well !!.... (Go figure! )

This iRV2 bunch will give ya alot of good ideas.

Hope you're still out in Fresno, till spring, cause, as ya know, it's danged COLD back in Columbus...eh?

WELCOME again.

Steve & Lynette
