WV/OR New to Forum Been RVing for Decades

I stumbled upon this forum looking for information about my RV refrigerator, but found way more than that. I found a wonderful group of people sharing information about everything related to RVing.

Originally natives of WV, we moved to OR in 1974 where we've been ever since. In about 1977 we started returning to WV just about every year and after 1979 used our first SC TC to do so. In 1993 we decided to upgrade and discussed all forms of RVs finally deciding on another TC, but with conveniences the previous TC didn't have, primarily a built in gen. and AC. Both trucks were diesel 4WD and the campers were 11.5' SC. After returning from a nearly 8k mile trip to AL, GA, WV, and WI (EAA Oshkosh) this Summer my wife said she would like a RV that rode better, had a bed on the floor, and had interior conveniences available without crawling through a hole or stopping. In addition, we needed something that would be able to travel on logging roads and other out of the way places we like to visit for hunting, fishing and exploring. We now have a older 26' Flair that I'm hoping will do all that, only time will tell.

I've always viewed our situation as both a blessing and a curse. A curse that we had to travel across the USA to visit family, but a blessing that we were able to see so much of the beautiful country we live in. Now, at 76 and 70, I'm not certain how many more years we will be able to continue our trips, but we are truly thankful for all the wonderful things we have seen and for those we will see. It has been a wonderful life.

Thanks to all those who make this forum possible.

Good luck with your Flair. I'm sure it will do all that you want it to do. As far as your age, you'll have many more years to enjoy this great land. Good luck and safe travels. I'm still partial to TC's having owned four, but the space in the class a makes life easier. Many great memories in the TC though.
