Yet another Noobie
Hello, all,We're RV Noobies, residents of FL and PA. Actually, we're between purchase commitment and "closing" on an 04 Holiday Rambler.
I'm a retired engineer, and a bit of an iDevice nut, and starting early to design a project or 2. Has anybody here done a iPad digital dash upgrade? I want to add one to the dash for vehicle systems mgmt, road (and park) tunes, VoIP phone, etc. Has anybody here done that, or know anybody who has?
For typical RV itineraries, which cell carrier has the best footprint? My current carrier is AT&T, but their footprint has been quite disappointing outside metro FL, and I'll switch if I can find better. Is there a popular wifi service in campgrounds, or is it free enough that I don't need to worry about it?
See you around he US,

Welcome to IRV2! It's great to have you join us!
Congrats on the new rig! Hope you enjoy it and the forum! I would suggest that you post specific questions over in the appropriate areas of the forum for best results. Not many folks hang out here in the Welcome area.
Good luck, happy trails, and God bless!
BTW, we use the Verizon MiFi unit for internet on the road. Kind of pricey but very fast! I wouldn't use AT&T if I had to send smoke signals!

Ditto on the Verizon MiFi. Works for me and I use it at home. We are very rural and only have dialup available here. The MIFi(hot spot) solves 2 problems for me.

Welcome to the forum. For nationwide you'll want to go Verizon.
