ADS?

I should think if we are not allowed to discuss political issues, there would not be allowed political advertising on the boards.

I should think if any talk alluding to sex is not allowed, those stupid play now game ads with women's boobs bouncing all over the place when they fall to the ground and writhe all over or splash up out of the water with the ad focus on the boobs shouldn't be allowed either...

Just my opinion.

iRV2 has no control over the content of the Google Ads you reference.

The content of the ads is most often determined by the users' browsing history.

Maybe you had a ad blocker on the older computer and none yet installed in the new one?

The ads that google is posting on the forum are targeted ads. If you looked at heaters on Amazon they target heater ads. If your looking at porn they target adult material. If your not the one, someone on your computer has been. You can block all google ads and tracking in firefox with the "disconnect" plugin. Works great!

This is not true at all. I am the only person using my computer, and I don't even use Google.
I do use Amazon a lot, and I see targeted ads from them, but I imagine that not having a search history doesn't stop Google from putting up random ads, to include phantasy games.

You don't have to use Google to get targeted ads. Your searches on Amazon will trigger a targeted ad. Recently I was on the Jeep web site and saw Jeep ads for a few days.

And, of course, now that you're all talking about & posting about these ads, you're going to keep seeing them until you drop the subject matter of them. Prior to logging in (lurking as a guest with the benefit of all the wonderful ads I don't see when logged in), because I read this thread, I too saw the ad MartySQ referenced in post #1. Yeesh.

Google is watching here you know.

Oh wow! I need to turn my ads back on.
