You may have browser "plugins" loading ads instead, part of a trend of infecting browsers with "toolbars" and "search aids" that are instead adware and trash.
Depending on which browser you use, find the plugin management page and turn off / disable anything you don't recognise. Anything that complains at this point - is 98% likely to be trash, because legit plugins don't complain when they are disabled. Remove any offenders, and try loading pages again. You may be pleasantly surprised.
If that doesn't work, see about adding your own plugin - search Google for "Ublock Origin" and the name of the browser you use, and install that. You can use the defaults for a while, the "Easylist" is probably the best all-around adblocker list out there for beginners.
Enjoy a lot less trash wasting your time on the internet.
